Images of Cognition in Antiquity and Their Impact on Contemporary Culture

The article considers the most ancient notions in cognition appeared in the antic philosophy. Ancient Greek philosophers conveyed these notions through images: the image of copies (shells), the image of wax tablet, the image of cave and shadows. Their impact on the contemporary culture is extremely significant. It is also considered in the article.
