This article is devoted to the actual problem of the modern Russian education – the problem of preparing of the young people to the live in the polycultural society. In virtue of the theory and practice of modern education and advanced pedagogical experience the author comes to the conclusion that one solutions of this problem is the realization of the national-regional component on the basis of polycultural school#s model. This component is regarded as one of the levels and elements of the polycultural education system.
