Screening wheat cultivars for morphogenesis ability in immature embryo culture in vitro

The reaction of 17 spring bread and durum wheat cultivars for callus induction, morphogenesis and regeneration ability was studied. It was shown the morphogenetic processes are determined by a cultivar genotype. The rizhogenesis limits plant regeneration from morphogenic callus. The cultivars with the highest plant regeneration frequency could be used for mass obtaining of somaclones.
