Walter Ulbricht and the destalinization in the DDR (1956-1958)

In the article we analyze the features of the East German destalinization, which was begun with the XXth Congress of the CPSU. Particular emphasis has been given of the struggle in the SED and a role of first secretary of the Central Committee Walter Ulbricht in a defeat of antistalinist opposition.
