The knowledge of a history of development of an investigated subject expands an outlook of the future expert. Such disciplines as a history of mathematics or history of the economic doctrines for a long time are a part of formation in these areas. However, when the matter reaches a history of information technologies, the tutoring of this field of knowledge seldom receives such status. In this paper the attempt of liquidation of such gap in preparation of the future experts is described by reading of course "A history of information technologies" at mathematical faculty of Altai State University.
