The article is devoted to the problem of the image of Teacher of Righteousness of the Qumran Community and its place in the Qumran eschatology. The sources notis particular honouring the Teacher in the Community. This fact has generate a suggestion, that Qumranites expected receipts of its murdered leader as Messiahs. Author researches strong and weak sides of given hypothesis and voices a suggestion, that sectantes expected the Teacher of Righteousness not as a Messiah, but as Precursor of the Messiahs.
