Study of thermal degradation of complex molecules in organic eluents by ebullioscopy

An original model of ebullioscope has been proposed which makes it possible to determine molecular masses of substances in organic eluents.

Homolitic reversible degradation of molecules S₈ and Se₈ in solutions of n-alkanes C₇-C₁₂ in a wide range of concentrations has been studied by ebullioscopy. Molecular masses have been determined, composition of products of thermodegradation of sulphur and selenium octacycles has been obtained as well as empirical equations of dependence of an average number of particles (in different molecular forms of sulphur and selenium) in liquid hydrocarbons on concentration of salvation.
