A finite element model of shear band is offered. A shear band as a strong discontinuity (jump in displacement field) is represented. The strong discontinuity approach by means of various conditions is possible. The stress-strain problem for a circular hole with slits in the form of equiangular spirals is considered. A tangential stress on shear band is assumed the constant in calculations. A stress field tends to the classical elastoplastic solution on condition that the number of slits is on the increase.
