An attempt to designate specific moments of understanding of creativity, creative subject and creative process in the new cultural epoch of postmodernism is made in the article. The authors analysed postmodernist submissions about a play nature of creativity, reasons of the appeal to themes of death, change in creativity understanding: from creativity as creation to creativity as destruction. Antisubstantiality, bifurcation and stratified character of postmodernist discourse of creativity are substantiated.
