The binary alloy solidification and melting problem in the three-dimensional case with spherical symmetry is considered. Two models with the thermodynamic equilibrium condition, and also with the kinetic undercooling and the surface tension at the free boundary are studied. Under appropriate assumptions on the unitial data, the local in time solvability of the problems in Holder spaces are proved.
