Use of optical scanner and radar images for the classification of wood landscapes is discussed. A capability of increase of a recognition degree on the basis of use of various vegetation indices within joint processing and an application of textures for training of neural network simulators for purposes of classifications of the multichannel radar data were investigated. It was established that the classification of woods is possible to conduct on the basis of the analysis of only radar images.
