The problem of the possessions of the Altai Mining Okrug in the middle of the 19 century

The author considers to use the term "imperial property" as more adequate instead of the term "crown property". We believe that it was the Emperor who owned the Altai Mining Okrug (Area), although the property was of a specific kind as it was not due to be inherited. The analysis of the state of the inhabitants and workmen gives the opportunity to the characterize this property as feudal.
