In the article is considered the policy of Germany about USA in connection with the conclusion of Berlin peace agreement of 1921. The author does a attempt to show that the German-American peace negotiations were the first experience of realization of the German strategy of an exit of country from of isolation, in which Germany has appeared after the First World war. The signing of the separate peace agreement has become some kind of "draft variant" of the Rapallo agreement, which made between Germany and Soviet Russia in 1922.
